Animafest

Since 1972, the World Festival of Animated Film Animafest Zagreb has systematically covered and presented international animated film production. It is one of the first festivals that began promoting animation as an art form. Based on Olinka Vištica’s and Dana Budisavljević’s many years of experience in creative and organisational teams of Motovun Film Festival and ZagrebDox, in 2007 Hulahop was trusted with the organisation of the oldest and most renowned film festival held in Zagreb. Through new initiatives, such as Regional Pitching Forum, strengthening children programmes and taking over a part of the distribution, Hulahop wishes to make Animafest a modern festival, which not only screens films, but actively participates in their production and placement, as well as education.
